The structure of life values at retirement age

The article refl ects the results of a study of the structure of life values of representatives of retirement age. The questionnaire of life values by S. Schwartz was used as a diagnostic tool. For statistical data analysis, descriptive statistics methods and factor analysis were used. The sample consisted of representatives of retirement age living in Chelyabinsk (n = 210). The results of the study showed that for the older generation, the most signifi cant values are those aimed at self-defense (security), preservation (conformism, traditions), interaction and contact with society (universalism, kindness) and independence.
