Structural characteristics of the British and American word trademarks of the thematic group “Clothes”

The article deals with the concept of the word trademark and the issue of the position of the word trademarks in the lexical system of the language and the ways of their formation. The study was based on the British and American word trademarks of the thematic group “clothes” (221 units). There are revealed the structural models of the English word trademarks and tendencies in their word formation.
