The structural and functional peculiarities of the comparative constructions in the English works for children

On the basis of the texts for children there are analyzed the peculiarities of the comparative constructions, allowing to give the bright and figurative note of the narration, thanks to which the reader is able to design clearly the imagined world and his characters by the author. There are considered successively the models, that the comparative constructions are based on, there are demonstrated the specific features of their usage, translating the different information of the associative nature in the works for children.
