The article is devoted to the analysis of structural and metaphorical models of the modern English terms formation in the sphere of art history. Such methods of term formation as affixation, abbreviation, conversion, as well as antonomasia and borrowing are analyzed. A high degree of metaphorization of the English-language art history terms is noted.
