Structural changes in the economy of the Perm region: characteristics

This work is devoted to the study of structural changes in the economy of the Perm region. The aim of the study was to assess the extent of structural changes and identify the impact of a set of national, sectoral and regional factors on these processes. The information base was the official statistical data. Authors used the methods of structural shifts analysis and correlation analysis. During 2011–2015 years in the economy of the Perm region there have been significant structural shifts. There is a decrease in the contribution of industrial production and an increase in the contribution of services to the total gross value added of the region. Structural shifts in value added have been dominated by national factors, and structural shifts in employment have been largely driven by regional factors.
