The paper deals with deformational history of Palaeoproterozoic rocks of the Sergozero Unit. The deformations occurred 1.97-1.90 Ga ago. The temporal succession of compressional (D2-D3) and extensional (D4-D5) deformations has been considered. Results of geometrical (D1-D5) and kinematic (D2-D4) analyses of linear and planar textures have been presented. The extensional event D4 resulted in the development of gold-bearing shear zones.
