In this article, the concept of "supervision" is considered as a form of psychological and pedagogical support for first-year students. The analysis of actual problems of the traditional teaching form of curatorial activity in the modern university is carried out. Based on the analysis, the advantages of student supervision over tradition are revealed. Details about the prospects for the modernization of curatorial activities in the university with an emphasis on the introduction of student supervision as a form of psychological and pedagogical support for first-year students.
