The paper examines the subjective psychological well-being, an assessment of the quality of life and satisfaction with its aspects of the working age population living in the Western economic zone of Yakutia. The relevance of the study is determined by the problem of adapting the working age population to the negative factors affecting the climatic factors, special living conditions and activities. The results of a study on respondents’ assessments of the quality of life are presented according to the properties of professional activity, family life, financial state, physical state, environment and overall assessment of their lives. Differences in the assessments of their quality of life among different categories of respondents are revealed. Men are generally more satisfied with their quality of life compared to women, and young respondents are not satisfied with their financial and housing situation. Respondents engaged in the production, entrepreneurship and the budgetary sector demonstrate a higher level of satisfaction with the quality of life.
