The article focuses on the issue of young learners’ subjectivity while learning foreign languages. The age boundaries of young learners’ school age are considered. It also attempts to determine a modern portrait of primary school student. The author singles out the peculiarities of young learners’ subjectivity, its nuclear and peripheral characteristics while learning foreign languages.
