The subjects of parental labor in modern Russia: a sociological analysis

Based on the developments in the field of parental labor in the sociological and economic sections of science, the author reveals the general concept of the subject of parental labor, referring to the nature of such labor. The author provides a justification for the possibility of dividing the subjects of parental labor into two groups: parents and professional employees engaged in specialized fields. Based on empirical data, the author analyzes the specifics of the identification behavior of parents and professional employees and comes to the conclusion that, despite small private differences in the moods of different groups of subjects, the fundamental understanding of the subject of parental labor among the subjects of such labor themselves, both parents and professional employees, is similar and generally established, which confidently allows us to classify a group of professional employees as a subject of parental labor.
