Judicial police of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau: legal status, mission and limits of competence for the prevention and detection of crimes

The article presents an analysis of the conceptual approach associated with ensuring an effectively functioning law enforcement agency in the Republic of Guinea-Bissau in the form of a national judicial police subordinate to the Ministry of Justice of this State. Identifying the essential aspects of the purpose and activities of the specified police to ensure its preventive function and the function of conducting criminal investigations, the author draws attention to the specifics of crimes committed in Bisai society and the importance of combating them, which contributes to strengthening social order in the country.
