The judiciary in the context of the axiological approach

The article reveals its humanistic purpose to achieve the goals of justice on the basis of the axiological approach to the essence of the judiciary. Attention is drawn to the fact that in modern realities, when there is a radical reassessment of the values and perception of the foundations of the life of Russian society, the formation of a qualitatively different system of values, which has a significant impact on all state power institutions, including the judiciary, the need for a philosophical understanding of the judiciary is of particular importance in the context of the axiological approach. The category «value» is revealed from the standpoint of scientific approaches formulated in the teachings of I. Kant, G. Lotze and E. Giddens. The conclusion is substantiated that the judiciary independently forms its value and significance through the implementation of its activities on the moral foundations adopted in society, which correspond to the ideas of individuals and their groups about justice, goodness and benefit. The author's vision of the value and significance of the category of the «judicial power» is formulated from the position of the axiological approach.
