Dry extract of Silybum marianum seeds: production and standardization

The scientific article describes the production and standardization of a dry extract from milk thistle seeds. According to scientific data, milk thistle seeds contain 40 different medicinal and nutritional substances. Milk thistle seeds contain up to 30% oil, the main part of which is linoleic acid - 54%, oleic acid - 36% and palmitic acid - 8%. The main active ingredient of milk thistle seeds is flavolignan compounds or a silymarin complex.
