The essence and structure of patriotic values of adolescents

In Russia at the present stage of development patriotism is an actual topic of discussion. Currently, at the state, social and pedagogical levels there is an awareness of the importance of the formation of Patriotic values of adolescents. The significance of the study is confirmed by the new demands of society and the state for the education of the younger generation, who love their Homeland and are ready to actively function in it and protect it in the future. Modern, dynamically developing society makes special demands on the personality of a teenager. This aspect assumes active Patriotic activity which should be based on the created Patriotic values of teenagers. The article substantiates the relevance of the problem of formation of Patriotic values of adolescents. In this connection, the article presents an analysis of the essence of the concepts of patriotism and value. The concept of value was considered comprehensively at all historical stages: from ancient Greece to the present day. Analysis of reference and scientific literature on the study of patriotism allowed to clarify this concept. On the basis of this analysis, the concept of Patriotic values is clarified. The comparative characteristic of the structural components of patriotism and values allowed to define and reveal the content of the components of Patriotic values: Patriotic concepts, Patriotic activity, Patriotic relations, Patriotic symbols. Reliance on the features of these components contributes to the formation of Patriotic values of adolescents. The formation of Patriotic values will have an impact on the education of a creative, active patriot of Russia, who accepts the fate of the Fatherland as his own, who is aware of the responsibility for the present and future of his country, who knows the traditions of the multinational people of the Russian Federation.
