The essence of contemporary russian pedagogical education: problems and prospects

The complex and multi-aspect problem of the quality of pedagogical education is discussed. It is shown that analytical outcomes of the current situation in the Russian pedagogical education revealed two main functional trends: training student for teacher profession from the first year and making the choice at a later age. Groups of problems, that have an impact the development of the current state and development of the Russian pedagogical education and made the basis of formulating its main modernization trends, are substantiated including the involvement of the pedagogically motivated students, adjustment of the system of pedagogical education to the professional standard of the teacher, improvement of the content of pedagogical education and the technologies of its acquisition with respect to activity approach, modernization of transfer from pedagogical education to pedagogical activities and focus of the training on the measurable concrete outcomes.
