Intrinsic and substantial characteristics distance training in higher education institution

In article the essence and process of distance training as new educational practice are considered. In historical aspect contradictions of development of distance training are analyzed. It is noted that distance training should be considered as form of education, along with internal, correspondence, intramural and extramural and the external studies. The basis of distance training is constituted by purposeful and controlled hard independent work of the trainee.
