The aim: to assess an association of the clinical peculiarities of osteoarthritis with the changes in the level of blood adiponectine. 81patients with clinically diagnosed osteoarthritis in the age of 47 to 73 and who met the R. Altmans criteria were examined. All patients anthropometric data, the duration of disease, the rate of their incompetence were estimated. The Xray investigation of joints and the level of adiponectine was performed. The influence of degree of secretion of adiponectine changing on the clinical course of osteoarthritis and pain syndrome intensity were determined. The decreased level of adiponectine was associated with more severe Xray stage, the degree of incompetence, synovitis availability, and osteoarthritis pain syndrome intensity. Thereby, the changing level of the abovementioned adiponectine is associated with unfavourable clinical course of osteoarthritis and it is necessary to take this fact into account in prescribing the appropriate therapy.
