The peculiarity of transition of Russia to the innovative type of economic development causes leaders to decide new tasks. The phrase “what isn't measured isn't managed” is widely known among the managers. The mathematical culture offers the tools for the quantitative and qualitative analysis as well as for the assessment of indicators of productivity and management efficiency. Therefore, the problem of the development of mathematical culture of leaders, defining the criteria and indicators of its development acquires new dimensions. After analyzing the various points of view of researchers on the essence of criteria, indicators of management efficiency and on the influence of mathematics on the development of professional culture of leaders the corresponding criteria have been defined. Taking into account different steps of education (bachelor degree, magistracy, additional education) that allow continuous development of leaders the indicators of development of mathematical culture of leaders are presented. The presented material can be used in practice of higher school instructors for the development of teaching aids on the disciplines of mathematical and business cycles, and also in practice of additional education instructors for providing the problematical character, continuity and individualization of leader educational activity.
