The relationship between psychological well-being and life space representation: gender and age peculiarities

The study presents the empirical research results describing the relationship between psychological well-being and representation of life space. In the context of environmental psychology methods, the author analyzes the relations between the Ryff Scales of Psychological Well-Being and the features of life space representation. The theoretical analysis of the issue highlights the formal and dynamic and the substantive features of representation presented in verbal, figurative and graphics units of analysis. The research compares the psychological well-being with the features of life space representation in different age and sex groups. The differences between the content and structural features of this relationship in such groups are detected. The study reveals the universal relationships of scales of psychological well-being with the features of life space representation which are typical for all groups of respondents and variable relationships which are common to particular groups of respondents.
