Taxis constructions with prepositional deverbatives: intercategorial relations and interactions

Statement of the problem. The relevance of the problem is due to the lack of coverage of the issues of describing intercategorial interactions in taxis constructions of the German language. The purpose of this article is to describe taxis constructions of the German language containing prepositional deverbatives in the context of establishing inter-categorial connections and interactions in them. Methodology (materials and methods). The study was carried out within the framework of the functional-semantic approach to the description of linguistic facts. The following methods were used: directed sampling method, hypothetical-deductive, inductive, descriptive and contextual methods. The material of the study was German utterances with prepositional deverbatives obtained from the Electronic Dictionary of the German Language and the electronic database of the Leipzig National Corpus. Research results. In the course of the study, it was found that the German prototypical taxis constructions with temporal prepositions demonstrate intercategorical connections and interactions of taxis with the categories of temporality and aspectuality, including the subcategories of iteration and phaseness. Primary taxis categorical values of simultaneity, precedence and succession are updated in them, including syncretic iterative primary taxis and phase primary taxis values.
