Introduction. Performing the tasks in criminal proceedings is largely determined by the quality of information related to proving, which depends on the testimony of persons and the results of the identification. The aim is to examine the peculiarities of lawyers’ activity in criminal identification and specify the tactics of presenting the object for identification. Materials, Results and Discussion. One of the most common investigative actions is identification parade which results are frequently of great practical importance and are of an identification nature. The function of this investigative action is the fact of establishing the identity of a person, object or another object with the object which was perceived by the identifier in the past. During the identity parade an identifying person can either identify the object, or establish its similarity with the image, or deny the identity, according to the image of the identified object preserved in his memory. Conclusions. To improve the quality of identification parade it is necessary to consider the factors which may influence the reliability of the information: social and psychological signs of the bearers of information, their physical and psychological state, their vision of the happening.
