Tariff regulation in the field of railway transportation by foreign experience

Due to the vast territory of the Russian Federation, rail transport plays an important role in the transport of passengers and goods. In 2018, 19.5% of the total volume of goods transported in the Russian Federation was transported by rail, and the share of passenger traffic in suburban and long-distance traffic was about 37.5% and 48.4%, respectively. The article considers the main methods of tariff regulation and examples of their application in foreign countries, identifies the most stimulating factors in the development of railway infrastructure.
