Technological infrastructure of plant production of the Krasnodar region

The most important condition for increasing the efficiency of production of the main types of agricultural products and food during import substitution is the technical improvement and the introduction of modern agricultural technologies based on high-performance machines. The agriculture of the Krasnodar region is developing quite successfully. However, an analysis of the structure of the region machinery park showed that from 2000 to 2017 the number of tractors per 1 thousand ha of arable land decreased by 45.0 % (and by 58.1 %in the Russian Federation) and amounted to 6.1 units, having exceeded the average number for the country almost twice. On the other hand, in the Krasnodar region, the load of arable land per one tractor in 2017 was 165 hectares, which is almost 2 times lower than the average national figures but still relatively high in comparison with international practice. The most part of agricultural equipment (more than 60 %) is characterized by significant obsolescence and physical deterioration, which in turn increases the risks of losing part of the yields due to downtime because of breakdowns and poor-quality harvesting...
