The article discusses the issues of technical and tactical training of young volleyball players in the “libero” position. The game functions of the “libero” in modern volleyball are analyzed. The basic requirements for the technical and tactical preparedness of libero players have been identified. The most effective means and methods for improving the technical and tactical training of young “libero” volleyball players aged 15-16 years have been systematized.
