The article describes the current state and relevance of a problem of cognitive interest development. The author considers the concepts of cognitive interest, intensive training technologies, contextual training. The author also proves the efficiency of the use of intensive training technologies at foreign language classes as one of the means aimed at cognitive interest development of students of the Federal Penitentiary Service educational organizations. The methods used at foreign language classes for the organization of intensive training are also considered.
