In the article a creative adaptation of ceramic decorative works to the present by means of treatment of light and shade is offered. They are considered one of the most important artistic means in arts. Light and shade help to reproduce the place and the environment of action, prospective; they create a necessary mood. Sometimes the light is almost the only means of painter's and designer's spirits. It has the freedom of self-expression that allows a modern man to become part of the world creative process, gradually accustoming to the sublime.
