Technology of formation of linguocultural competence in students of language universities in the process of analytical reading of Japanese historical novels

The article presents a technology for developing linguacultural competence in students of higher education institutions. The proposed methods of working with text are theoretically substantiated from the standpoint of linguodidactics and linguacultural studies. Examples of proposed tasks are shown, combined into three sections: pre-text (focused on updating knowledge of Japanese culture and history), direct work with the text, and post-text (familiarization with culturally marked language elements, selection of linguacultures and their application in the Japanese language). The factors that ensure the effectiveness of the technology are identified: selection of texts based on a carefully developed system of criteria, specialized organization of the lesson, consistent introduction of the proposed tasks. It is concluded that as a result of implementing the author’s technology, students develop knowledge and activity components of linguacultural competence.
