Integration is a defining characteristic of contemporary higher education, manifesting in various forms. In the context of education, integration refers to the synthesis of educational goals and outcomes, particularly competencies. The synthesis of diverse competencies has been a focal point in scholarly research and can result in the creation of integrated competencies. This study aims to develop a technology for cultivating integrated universal and special competencies specifically related to the project activities of international master's students. The technology is designed to assist international students in mastering the synthesis of competencies, including universal competencies such as critical and systems thinking, project management, teamwork and leadership, communication, intercultural interaction, self-organization, and self-development, alongside special competencies in project management within the fields of education and philology. To effectively achieve desired outcomes, the educational process necessitates the careful selection of relevant content. Individual and team projects were employed as effective means for competency formation. The developed technology targets international master’s students of 45.04.01 Philology program. Key components of the technology include the exploration of project management theory, the execution of research projects for final qualifying work (dissertations), and a specific framework for collaboration among academic instructors and scientific supervisors. The practical application of this technology took place at South Ural State University as part of the “Project Management Technologies” course for international students from Vietnam, Iraq, China, Kurdistan, and the Philippines during the 2023 and 2024 academic years.
