The article presents the theoretical substantiation of the necessity of transition to federal state educational standards (FSES) of primary and secondary vocational training of new generation, gives conceptual bases of working out of the basic professional educational programs, describes the main directions of activity of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic Buryatia within the introduction FSES of III generation in institutions of primary and secondary vocational training.
