Drying drop technology in milk conformity assessment

Бесплатный доступ

Drying Drop Technology (DDT) is a tool developed by the authors for comparative analysis of liquid medium. The device is designed as a desktop attachment to a laptop and it is easy to operate. Each measurement takes 15 to 20 minutes under room temperature and humidity conditions. A quantitative comparison of the dynamics of impedance characteristics (hodographs) of quartz, loaded with a drop of the test milk drying on it, with a control sample is carried out. The diagnostic characteristics of the method were calculated when detecting the impurity of dry milk in drinking and when comparing milk of different fat content from the trading network. A certified milk quality analyzer "Laktan 1-4 M" was used as a verification tool. It demonstrated the possibility of using DDT for quick comparative analysis of milk samples without determining their composition.
