Miniatures from manuscripts «Book of the Tikhvin Icon» of XVII-XVIII centuries and the Acathistus tradition

Author gives the analysis of text/miniature relation in the manuscript copies of the «Book of Tikhvin Icon» of XVII-XVIII centuries. Some ground principles of «Book» organization as a whole system are revealed, as well as the main characteristics of image cycles. Article focuses on the relation of text and miniatures with Acathistus tradition of Mother of Good, and on the evolution of this relation in copies of two centuries. The loose of sense of original aim of image row is shown on the material of XVIII century.
