Current issues and development prospects of information supply system of the agroindustrial complex

Article describes some features of the U.S. agricultural information supply system and prospective directions of its development, remote sensing of Earth. Trends in agricultural information technologies and systems were tracked, and prediction of satellite imaging world market development was done. North America holds a large share of the commercial satellite imagery market, while Asia has a significant growth rate in this market. Government organizations and public authorities are the main consumers of space products and services; government programs for remote sensing of the Earth are being diversified and increasingly focused on the development of information systems in the parts of national economies of various countries. The information supply service of the U.S. agroindustrial ministries is considered through space products and services provided to end user - the farmer. Problems of state regulation of usage of space activity results in Russian national economy were given; so, decrease in activity on usage of space products and services is identified. Based on research works socio-economic effects of the use of precision agriculture usage range from 5 to 30%. It is proposed in calculating of these socio-economic effects to use defined statistical indicators that can be used for the first time in the pilot regions of Russia. The results of the article can be used in making of the agricultural information supply system at the state level. The article will be useful for specialists, analysts, teachers, and anyone interested in the introduction of information technologies and systems in agroindustrial complex.
