Pulmonoscintigraphy in the diagnosis fibrinothorax in children and young adults

Purpose. Analysis of the applicability of pulmonoscintigraphy in patients with fibrinothorax. Materials and methods. To study scintigraphic picture of pleural cavity and lung in children and young adults with acute purulent destructive pneumonia we performed scintigraphic and ultrasonographic study of 23 patients from 5 to 20 years. Results. The technique of perfusion scintigraphy and ultrasonic examination of pleural cavity and the affected lung is presented. We worked out the optimal diagnostic and rehabilitative tactics in fibrinothorax. Conclusions. Pulmonoscintigraphy is one of the most important methods of examination in patients with acute purulent destructive pneumonia, it gives the opportunity to see and appreciate the depth of the pathological process.
