The study discusses an important and relevant phenomenon of the transformation of the body and corporeality in a consumer, post-information society. The paper investigates the modern existence of the body and its understanding within visual practices which exist due to information technology. It reveals the aspects of corporeality in the context of a consumer society, the spread of advertising phenomena, and social networks. The research analyzes such body measurements as body capital, body simulacrum, body brand which have become a reality in information space and considers the ways of using the body in social and economic practices. The authors attempt to describe the phenomena of transcorporeality and post-corporeality related to the transhumanistic prospects of the society’s development, the penetration of technology into everyday life, the changes in social practices and interactions in terms of developing network technology, the transformations of several aesthetic ideas about the body and corporeality.
