Theme of war and peace in the musical works of Anatoly Andreev (on the example of the romance «Ballad about the father» versed by M. Shikhanov)

The author of the article considers the romance «The Ballad about the Father» (versed by Mikhail Shikhanov) of the famous Buryat composer Anatoly Andreev. The article briefly reviews the composer's work, his main means of musical expression that allow the author to «read» and embody the main idea of the romance. The novelty and relevance of the study is in the fact that the author of the article for the first time attempts to analyze the musical and poetic text of this work dedicated to war and peace to give recommendations on the performance interpretation of the ballad, which, by no means, is a great contribution to popularizing the creativity of the composer A. Andreev.
