Thematic analysis of the problems of social memory in modern social philosophy: storage and transmission of the meanings and significance of culture in the information society, “smart social memory”

The article discusses the socio-philosophical reflection of the phenomenon of social memory, identifies stable thematic areas and structures that are directly related to the fundamental socio-philosophical generalizations regarding the problem of memory. Incommensurable and partly polemic with each other theories of social memory are studied in relation to the current agenda associated with the growth of digital technologies and declarations of the transition to new systems within the new technological order of Industry 4.0. It is shown that, despite the significant advantages of modern technologies over the tradition of preserving social memory, the revision of traditional mechanisms for its reproduction presents many challenges for the full preservation of the genetic code of culture. First of all, the article aims to try building a relatively complete image of modern socio-philosophical reflection both in relation to the phenomenon of social memory and the modern conceptual tools that accompany this topic in modern socio-philosophical discourse. An attempt was made to introduce and interpret the concept of “smart social memory”.
