The article discusses conceptual approaches to contemporary art education, which were developed at the Institute of Art Education. The author revealed modern trends of youth’ creative potential support. There are highlighted the principles of pedagogy of art. The interrelation of tradition and new achievements in scientific research of the Institute is shown.
