Consideration of the didactic terminology genesis is determined by the necessity to evaluate objectively the regularities in evolution of the Russian didactics as a field of scientific knowledge. The study is based on the interdisciplinary approach with application of specifically developed technique. The article presents the periodization of didactic terminology evolution, describes the factors that influence the nature of changes in structural organization of conceptual terminological framework of the theory and practice of education, dynamics with which the content of major didactic concepts and terms was developing, conceptual and terminological connections between didactics and other sciences.
