Tendencies of productive forces placement in regions of Russia

The article analyzes the location of industrial production, investments and labor resources in the regions of Russia using the Herfindahl-Hirschman and Krugman concentration and specialization indices. An increase in the concentration of investments and industrial production by types of economic activity has been revealed. Revealed a high concentration in the extraction of minerals, the extraction of fuel and energy minerals, wood processing and the production of wood products, and metallurgical production and the production of finished metal products. Studies of the economic activity of Russian egions make it possible to take into account the identified trends in the development of state spatial and regional policies.
