Development trends of urban agglomerations

The article considers modern tendencies of integration and development of urban agglomerations, which recently compete with each other for the best demographic, natural, financial and investment resources. Reflects the existing differentiation between individual cities, including cities with over a million population of Russia, which is proved by the large-scale sociological studies of leading Russian scientific schools. The existing large agglomerations actually act as monopolists in this market, impede the development of medium and small cities in Russia, which aggravates the problems of differentiating the quality of life of the population in different cities.
