Pharmaceutical industry in China: development trends and instruments of state support

Today the pharmaceutical industry in China, which has set a goal of achieving an average life expectancy of 79 years by 2030, is one of the most stable industries contributing to the country's economic growth and improving public health. This is manifested in the increase in the number of enterprises and their assets, as well as country's share in the world pharmaceutical market, which indicates the high viability and competitiveness of manufactured products. The article substantiates the feasibility of state support for the pharmaceutical industry from both economic and social points of view, and reveals organizational and economic measures to stimulate its development in China, primarily in terms of preferential taxation and export stimulation. Based on the current data, we have identified the main development trends and problems of the pharmaceutical industry in China.
