Trends in development of schools with instruction in foreign languages in Russia (1950-2000)

The brief historical review of stages of emergence, formation and development of schools with instruction of some subjects in foreign languages in Russia is given in the article. The operational experience of schools of that type represents a rich material for analysis, judgments and further use with a view of optimization of interconnected training in foreign languages and other subjects in modern conditions of modernization of Russian education.
