Theology and natural knowledge of God

Бесплатный доступ

The article discusses the relationship between Theology as a science and natural knowledge of God, which means knowledge of God, independent of special Revelation from God and not requiring any special cognitive abilities on the part of man. The aim of the article is to analyze the relationship between natural knowledge about God and Theology as a science, as well as an attempt to substantiate the possibility of theology as a rational scientific discourse in the context of modern culture. It is shown that not only believers, but also atheists and agnostics can be included in theological discourse, while remaining rational agents. In addition, it is shown that theistic conviction can be viewed as having a positive epistemic status, that is, being justified and rational, and natural knowledge about God plays a key role in substantiating Theology as a science.
