Theoretical aspects of training future architects for professional work in the conditions of digital economy

Approaches to defining digital economy are discussed. Basing on the analysis of the existing definitions the author proposes to understand “digital economy” as business activities connected with production and selling of commodities and services (works) through transmission, processing and storing large mass data and using information computer technologies. It is believed that transition of the society to digital economy determines the change of approaches to teaching economic subjects to future architects. Methodological approaches to economic education in the conditions of digital economy are described: system, value-motivation, cognitive, competence and activity as well as methods of their realization. It is concluded, that complex application of the above approaches provides meaningful dialogue between teacher and student, allows the teacher to teach students the skill of formulating his/her ideas, think creatively, provides higher learning motivation, self-actualization and self-fulfilment, value orientations
