Theoretical aspects of application of the competency approach in the system of education

The article considers the competence approach as an alternative to traditional education, oriented to the standardization of co-ownership units. The definition of the term "competence" and "competence" is examined in detail. Schematically, the classification of universal competencies, professional competences by type and level is given, and the transition from the traditional education system to the competence approach is traced.
