Theoretical and practical aspects sustainability of urbanized areas

The article is devoted to the problems of methodological tools for assessing the sustainable development of urban areas. The theoretical and practical aspects of increasing the growth of the sustainability of territories at the present stage are considered. A retrospective analysis of the development of economic thought in the context of scientific schools that study the dissonance of society and nature is presented. The modern view of scientists, economists and ecologists on the problem of sustainable development of territories has been studied. The system of existing indicators for assessing the sustainability of the urban environment in the context of blocks, including indicators that have measurable parameters, is considered. It has been established that the adopted methodology for assessing the sustainable development of territories does not make it possible to comprehensively assess the territory. A critical analysis of the principles of sustainable development of territories in the Town Planning Code was carried out and the author's version was proposed. In order to develop the existing methodological tools, refined indicators of the natural characteristics of the area are proposed. An assessment of the landscaping system and water bodies of the city of Stary Oskol was given and shortcomings were identified, allowing work to begin on the development of the city's Water-Green Framework project.
