Theoretical foundations of a differentiated approach to the execution of a custodial sentence in relation to persons convicted of terrorist and extremist related incidents

The article considers the differentiated approach to the execution of a custodial sentence in relation to persons convicted of terrorist and extremist related incidents, which is essential in achieving the main goal of punishment that is orrection. Acting as one of the tools to combat terrorism and extremism in prison facilities, the differentiated approach contributes to maintaining a stable operational environment in correctional institutions, preventing new crimes, as well as the qualitative process of execution of a custodial sentence regarding to the mentioned category of convicts and respectively to their correction.
