Theoretical basis for the formation of civil identity of schoolchildren through socially-oriented eco-volunteer activities

In this scientific article, the author examines the theoretical foundations of the concept of «Civic Identity», as well as the relevance of its formation in children, starting from primary school age. As an example for its formation, eco-volunteer activities are considered, carried out both in schools and with the participation of volunteer organizations. Not only the methods of organizing and conducting eco-volunteer activities are identified, but also its results, such as the formation of teamwork skills, deepening knowledge in the field of ecology and a sense of belonging to society and society. As a conclusion, the formation of civic identity and understanding of the need to care for the environment is noted.
