The article considers approaches to defining the categories of “service” and “retail service”. After studying the concepts offered by both foreign and grown-in experts reveal their failure, the authors clarify the understanding the category in question-based on mutual usefulness to the seller and the buyer. Also in the article describes the classification features retail trade services-whether you automatically organize all their totality in retail services.
