The authors of the article investigate the problematic aspects of state support for large families in Russia. It is noted that there is no unified legislation regulating the institution of a large family, as well as a normatively fixed concept of a large family. It is pointed out that there are numerous restrictions by regional legislation on the rights of large families to receive benefits and guarantees associated with the lack of a unified approach that unifies the possibility of obtaining a set of supportive measures for each individual large family in Russia. The conclusions made by the authors aim to draw attention to the need to introduce a unified federal legislation that contributes to solving the problems under consideration.
